Lac du Bonnet & District is a recreation Mecca offering opportunities for
all seasons, the gateway to cottage country and with over 60 kilometers of
rivers and lakes it is the centre for swimming, fishing,
boating, water skiing, sunbathing, hiking, biking and golfing in the summer
time. The fall and winter is busy with curling, bowling, hockey, skating, cross
country skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing. If none of this appeals you can
just enjoy some serene places where you can just sit back, relax and enjoy all
nature has to offer.
Snowmobiling
From Lac du Bonnet snowmobile enthusiasts can travel north, east, south or west
over hundreds of kilometers of well-groomed trails complete with warm-up huts
over some of the most scenic terrain in the country. These area clubs work hard
to keep the trails groomed.

Boating & Canoeing There are more than 60 kilometers of rivers and lakes to explore
and many boat launches conveniently located close to town and throughout

Fishing
We are one of the most popular destinations in the province for sport &
Pro fishing, offering Walleye, Northern Pike, Goldeye, Perch, Bass,
Sturgeon, Channel Cat & More - fish from the Town Pier, Winnipeg River
Bridge, Dike along Hwy #11 and from your boat. For the
cold weather enthusiasts Lac du Bonnet also offers great ice fishing.
We
host numerous fishing derby's every year - $25,000 Ice Fishing Derby - Walleye Classic Pro Derby - Blue Bombers Fish
Derby - Youth Derby's & more.
Curling The Lac du Bonnet Curling Club operates all winter long hosting
youth, men's, women's, seniors and mixed leagues as well as tournaments in
February & March. The rink is also the home of John Usackis (Manitoba

Hockey & Ice Skating The lac du Bonnet
Arena offers a full range of activities from youth to adult programs in
both hockey and figure skating. The arena is home to the
Lac du Bonnet Blues Senior Hockey Club as
well as home of Kyle Kettles #35
(Stats Sheet).
Kyle was drafted by the Nashville Predators round 7 #205 overall 1999 NHL
Entry Draft. Kyle signed as free agent by Minnesota Wild, April 23, 2002
and played out his career with the Louisiana IceGators [ECHL] and the

Swimming & Water Skiing With the miles and miles of waterways, there is no shortage of space
for these water activities. Or do it all right from the Town Beach & Pier.
The beach has beautiful sand and play structures while families can watch
from the grassed hillside. Water-ski or fish right off the large pier that
is home to Manitoba's best Fireworks display on the Canada Day weekend.
During July & August swimming lessons are also available. Lesson
Registration is done by the "Winnipeg
River Recreation District".
Canada Day Weekend
Every year the Lac du Bonnet Lions Club hosts the Canada Day Weekend. The
3 day event features a Midway, Parade, Games & Activities, Car Show, Beer
Garden, Dance, Manitoba's best Fireworks Display & More. Visit their
